Ingredients
  

For the Cookie Base
  • 2.25 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.75 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 0.75 cup brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1.5 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
For the Frosting
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for frosting)
For Toppings
  • Mini chocolate chips
  • Chocolate candies
  • Sprinkles
  • Melted chocolate drizzle

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time to the butter mixture, followed by the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients. Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  6. Press the cookie dough evenly into a greased 9–12 inch pizza pan.
  7. Bake for 18–22 minutes or until the edges are golden and the center is set. Allow it to cool completely on a wire rack.
Frosting and Toppings
  1. In a separate bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy. Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing well.
  2. Mix in the milk and vanilla extract until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Spread the frosting over the cooled cookie crust.
  4. Decorate with mini chocolate chips, colorful chocolate candies, and sprinkles. Drizzle melted chocolate on top for added flair.
  5. Refrigerate for 20–30 minutes to set the frosting.
  6. Slice into wedges and serve.

Notes

Serve chilled and consider pairing with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze individual slices for up to 2 months.
