Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time to the butter mixture, followed by the vanilla extract.
- Gradually mix in the dry ingredients. Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Press the cookie dough evenly into a greased 9–12 inch pizza pan.
- Bake for 18–22 minutes or until the edges are golden and the center is set. Allow it to cool completely on a wire rack.
Frosting and Toppings
- In a separate bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy. Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing well.
- Mix in the milk and vanilla extract until smooth and fluffy.
- Spread the frosting over the cooled cookie crust.
- Decorate with mini chocolate chips, colorful chocolate candies, and sprinkles. Drizzle melted chocolate on top for added flair.
- Refrigerate for 20–30 minutes to set the frosting.
- Slice into wedges and serve.
Notes
Serve chilled and consider pairing with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze individual slices for up to 2 months.
