Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13 baking dish.
- In a bowl, whisk together the French onion soup, cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Spread the uncooked rice evenly in the baking dish and pour the soup mixture over it. Stir gently to combine.
- Place the chicken on top of the rice and season lightly with additional salt and pepper, if desired.
- Dot the chicken with butter slices for added flavor and moisture.
Cooking
- Cover the dish tightly with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil, sprinkle French fried onions on top, and bake uncovered for an additional 10–15 minutes until golden brown.
- Let it rest for 5 minutes, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve warm.
