Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Wash and trim the asparagus, cutting off the tough ends.
  3. In a bowl, toss the asparagus with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
  4. Spread the asparagus in a single layer on a baking sheet.
Cooking
  1. Roast in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the asparagus is tender and lightly browned.
  2. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  3. Return to the oven for an additional 2-3 minutes to melt the cheese.
Serving
  1. Serve warm with lemon wedges if desired.

Notes

Choose thin, tender asparagus for the best texture. Avoid overcrowding the baking sheet for even roasting.
