Ingredients

Pasta
  • 8 ounces linguine
Meat
  • 1 pound steak (sirloin or your choice), cut into bite-sized pieces Choose a good quality steak for the best flavor.
Vegetables
  • 2 cups broccoli florets Feel free to add other vegetables like bell peppers or carrots for added nutrition.
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
Cooking Ingredients
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika Adjust the amount to suit your taste; can substitute with regular paprika for a milder flavor.
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese For a dairy-free version, try nutritional yeast for a cheesy flavor.
  • Fresh parsley to garnish Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Method

Preparation
  1. Cook the linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the steak pieces, season with garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper, and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil and the broccoli. Sauté for about 5 minutes until the broccoli is tender-crisp. Add the mushrooms and sauté for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  4. Return the cooked steak to the skillet with the vegetables. Add the cooked linguine and toss everything together over medium heat.
  5. Remove from heat, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, and mix until well combined.

Notes

Serve this smoky delight warm with a fresh green salad or a side of garlic bread. For an extra touch, a sprinkle of extra Parmesan cheese or a dash of crushed red pepper flakes will elevate the flavors even more. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave or on the stove, adding a splash of water or olive oil to keep it moist.
