Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined to form a smooth batter.
- Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray or butter.
- Pour the batter evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- Arrange the sliced bananas on top of the batter.
- In a small bowl, mix the cinnamon and nutmeg (if using) and sprinkle it evenly over the bananas.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream. Store any leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days. Reheat before serving.
